Big Air

This year we are excited to host “Vestlandsmeisterskap in Big Air” in cooperation with Voss Freestyle Klubb! “Vestlandsmeisterskapet in Big Air”, which roughly translates into the Western Norway Championship in Big Air, is held at 3 destinations this year. The following destinations are Sogndal the 27th of February, Eikedalen the 6th of March and Voss - Myrkdalen the 13th of March.

Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen is renowned for their skills in building challenging & fun jumps of high quality. The Big Air competition this year will be something out of the ordinary. We are trying to involve creative young artists to come up with a jump no one has seen before. The standard curves of the jump and landing will of course be in accordance to regular jumps.

The overall winner of “Vestlandsmeisterskap in Big Air” will get a “ticket to ride” to Voss Springbreak, which is an invitational competition hosted by Christoffer Gjerde, Klaus Finne and Sigbjørn Tveit. Voss Springbreak is held the 3rd of April at Voss Resort.

There are four categories in this competition; “Youth” 15 years or younger, boys and girls. “Elite” 16 years or older, men and women.

We have limited space on this competition so please sign up early!!

Helmet is mandatory, back protection and ski insurance is suggested.

(You are able to purchase one day insurance with the Norwegian Ski Association through Voss Freestyle Club)

This competition is connected to The Norwegian Ski Association, so all participants’ needs to be a member of a club. If you are not a member of a club you are able to purchase a support membership in Voss Freestyle club. Cost 80 NOK. Please inform us about this when you register.

On Saturday evening there will be a railjam at Vossevangen, and the prize ceremony for all competitions will also be held there.
